What we look at during frame consultation

Face shape analysis
Oval, round, square, heart, rectangle, triangle — six main face types and the hybrids in between. We don't follow clichés blindly; the exceptions often look more striking.

Skin tone and hair colour fit
Gold, copper, brown tones for warm skin; silver, blue, grey tones for cool skin. We also recommend a backup frame for when you change your hair colour.

Bridge and PD measurement
Frames with raised pads for a low nose bridge, wider designs for a wide PD. These details decide comfort — a poorly seated frame strangles aesthetics.

Lifestyle conversation
Do you play sport, do you wrestle with kids, do you spend the day in front of a screen? We recommend material (titanium, acetate, flex metal) and hinge type accordingly.

Wardrobe approach
One frame doesn't match every outfit — we suggest a first (daily) frame plus a secondary character frame too.

Which pair are you replacing and why? What did you love/hate about your previous frame? These answers tell us half the story already.

Measurement and observation (5 min)
Facial symmetry, ear and nose position, head width, marks from your current glasses — the micro-details we watch for.

Frame selection (10–15 min)
We pick 4–6 frames from the displays — some you'd expect, some surprising. We explain why each one was recommended.
- 04
In front of the mirror, decision
We try them in natural light and inside the shop. No rush; if you want two days to think, we set the frame aside for you.
Frame consultation — common questions
- Is the consultation paid?
- No, it's complimentary. You're under no obligation to buy lenses or a frame. 'I just came to look' is fine; we take the same care explaining either way.
- Do I need an appointment?
- Usually not, we attend to you on arrival. Saturday 14:00–17:00 is our busy window; if you message us on WhatsApp beforehand, we save you a slot.
- Does bringing my old pair help?
- It helps a lot. Understanding what you liked and what didn't fit, through your previous frame, is the fastest path. We also do repairs or adjustments on the spot if needed.
